The Secrets of Universal Creation
The course starts from the Zohar’s teaching: the Torah is not mere storytelling but holds higher secrets.
According to the Tikkunei HaZohar, בראשית reads ברא שית, “He created six”; the course calculates 6 + 86 = 92, which it parallels with the 92 fundamental elements of the universe.
The 86 divide into 15 non-metallic elements (י-ה) and 71 metallic elements (אלם). The scientific claims are presented as the course states them.
“Woe to the one who says that the Torah comes to tell mere stories... For if so, we too could write a much better Torah! But no: all the words of the Torah are higher words and higher secrets.” (Zohar HaKadosh)
The Torah was transmitted: Moses received it at Sinai and transmitted it to Joshua, Joshua to the Elders, the Elders to the prophets, and the prophets to the members of the Great Assembly (Ethics of the Fathers 1). The course infers that decoding it will likewise proceed in off-center circles; it states that the Vilna Gaon teaches that all Torah study follows this pattern.
The whole Torah is condensed in the Book of Genesis; the whole book in the parashah Bereshit; the whole parashah in the first 34 verses; the 34 verses in the 10 creative utterances; the 10 utterances in the first verse; the first verse in the word בראשית; that word in its first letter ב.
According to the course, Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai reveals that all creation can be explained from the point (dagesh) within the ב of בראשית. The course compares it to the Big Bang theory, according to which creation began with the bursting of a luminous point.
In the Tikkunei HaZohar, Rabbi Shimon teaches to break the word down: בראשית = ברא שית, “Bara Shit,” “He created SIX.”
According to the course, creation has a hexagonal structure: the time vector (6 days of creation + Shabbat, 6 + 1), the space vector (6 directions of space: north, south, east, west, up, down, plus the central point of convergence, Shabbat translated into space) and the matter vector, the result of time and space: the parents having 7 dimensions articulated as 6 + 1, the child, matter, will have the same characteristics.
The course writes the word in full: ש (revealed dimension) with its hidden dimension ין = 60; י with וד = 10; ת with יו = 16. Total 86, to which 6 is added.
According to the course, science establishes that there are only 92 fundamental elements in the entire universe, exactly as Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai reveals some 2000 years ago.
Subdivision: 86 unsaturated elements, which combine to form visible matter (water H₂O = 2 hydrogen + 1 oxygen; salt = chlorine + sodium); 6 noble gases (saturated), which do not combine with the other 86, as if speaking another language. According to the course, this is why the Torah uses two different languages.
Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh extends the field to three words: בראשית ברא א־להים, 86 + 6 = 92.
Double dimension of the name א־להים. The two letters י ה, of passive nature, called מוחין (mochin), the brain of the remaining letters, represent the 15 non-metallic elements. The letters א לם, of active nature, the load-bearing structure of the brain, a word meaning “mute” (without a brain), represent the 71 metallic elements.
15 non-metallic elements: non-metallic properties, negative charge, receptive nature, reflecting female biological reality. 71 metallic elements: metallic properties, positive charge, giving nature, reflecting male biological reality.
“As it is written in the theoretical and metaphysical world of the Torah, so it will be in the reality of the created physical world. For the Torah is the architectural plan of all universal creation, as an engineer consults it before carrying out his work.”
