א. 7 Adar — Anniversaire et Hilloula de Moché Rabbénou
Nous sommes à la veille du 7 Adar — jour du décès de Moché Rabbénou, mais c'est aussi son jour de naissance. Tout ce que nous étudions, c'est la Torah de Moché Rabbénou. Baroukh Hachem, puissions-nous réussir à faire na'hat roua'h devant le Kadoch Baroukh Hou.
ב. L'ustensile manquant — où est le Mizbéa'h HaKétoret ?
La différence entre Parachat Térouma et Parachat Tetsavé :
Térouma — on parle du Michkan, des ustensiles, de la cour. L'ordre est logique : on commence par le Aron (Kodech HaKodachim — le cœur du Michkan), puis la Ménorah (on sort vers le Kodech), puis le Choul'han.
Tetsavé — on parle de l'intérieur : huile d'olive, vêtements des Cohanim, préparation des Léviim.
Mais attendez ! Dans le Kodech, il y a aussi le Mizbéa'h HaKétoret. Or dans Parachat Térouma — il n'en est pas question du tout ! Cet ustensile a disparu. Où apparaît-il ? À la fin de Parachat Tetsavé, après les vêtements et la préparation des Léviim.
Impossible de dire que Moché Rabbénou a sauté et s'est souvenu soudainement. Il y a forcément quelque chose de bien plus profond.
ג. Le Achane = le Arafel = la Chékhina
Quelle était l'avoda au Mizbéa'h HaKétoret ? On plaçait la Kétoret sur les braises, et une fumée (achane) s'élevait.
Qu'y a-t-il dans cette fumée qu'aucune autre avoda du Michkan ne possède ?
Le achane — c'est l'expression du arafel (la brume divine). Et le arafel symbolise la Chékhina.
« Et Moché vint... vers le arafel où se trouvait D.ieu »
Partout où l'on veut parler de la Chékhina, Hachem a dit qu'Il résiderait dans le arafel. Le achane symbolise le arafel, qui lui-même symbolise la Chékhina.
ד. La Kétoret — la station finale
Toute la construction du Michkan, les ustensiles, les vêtements, les Léviim — tout converge vers une seule station finale.
Pourquoi faisons-nous tout cela ? Pour arriver à l'état où l'on dévoile la Chékhina.
Quel est le symbole de la Chékhina dans le Michkan ? C'est la Kétoret qui s'élève du Mizbéa'h.
C'est pourquoi elle apparaît à la fin — car c'est la station finale vers laquelle tout converge.
ה. Qu'est-ce que « Kétoret » ? — L'histoire de Kétourah
Que signifie le mot Kétoret en hébreu ? J'ai demandé le 'Houmach Béréchit exprès pour expliquer.
Après le décès de Sarah, Avraham Avinou est resté seul. Sarah avait chassé Hagar. Qu'est devenue Hagar ? Elle ne s'est pas découragée — elle a attendu. Elle s'est dit : peut-être que Sarah mourra et je pourrai revenir épouser Avraham.
La Torah nous dit qu'on l'a appelée Kétourah.
Premier sens : parce qu'elle faisait monter de la Kétoret (encens) — c'est le sens simple.
Deuxième sens (principal) : elle s'est liée elle-même — refusant tout homme — dans l'espoir de revenir vers Avraham. Pudeur absolue. Elle était « Kétourah » — personne ne la toucherait jusqu'au retour d'Avraham Avinou.
ו. La Kétoret relie Ciel et Terre
Le Zohar HaKadoch dit : l'essence de la Kétoret, c'est de lier le peuple d'Israël à notre Père qui est aux Cieux.
Solide → Liquide → Gaz. Quand on offre un korban sur le Mizbéa'h et que la fumée s'élève — c'est un état intermédiaire : d'un côté ce n'est plus de la matière, de l'autre ce n'est pas encore de l'esprit. Cet état intermédiaire — relie le Ciel et la Terre.
Sur terre — c'est la matière. Au ciel — c'est l'air, le gaz. La Kétoret est le connecteur entre le Ciel et la Terre.
Et toute notre mission depuis la création du monde est de relier le Ciel et la Terre. Quand le Beth HaMikdach existe — les korbanot. Quand il n'existe pas — « ouNéchaléma Parim Sifaténou ». Nous sommes un Royaume de Cohanim et un peuple saint — chacun de nous est un Cohen — tout notre rôle est de relier le Ciel et la Terre.
Nous le disons chaque jour dans le Kriat Chéma : « véHaya im Chamoa Tichméou » — vous écoutez, tout va bien, la terre donnera ses récoltes, la pluie tombera, pas de sécheresse. La voie de notre communication avec le Kadoch Baroukh Hou — ce sont nos prières.
ז. Le Beth HaMikdach d'En-Haut — pas besoin de Mizbéa'h HaKétoret
Face au Beth HaMikdach d'en bas — il y a un Beth HaMikdach d'En-Haut. L'un correspond à l'autre.
Le Cohen Gadol d'En-Haut, c'est Mikhaël, prince d'Israël, avec Éliyahou. Quels korbanot y offre-t-on ?
Les âmes des Tsaddikim.
Elles montent en korban dans le Beth HaMikdach céleste. Ola Témima — on élève l'âme à un degré plus haut.
Quel ustensile existe dans le Temple d'en bas mais PAS dans celui d'En-Haut ?
Le Mizbéa'h HaKétoret ! Là-haut, on n'en a pas besoin. Pourquoi ?
Parce que si le but du Mizbéa'h HaKétoret est de créer un nuage et une brume, pour montrer où se trouve la Chékhina — là-haut, la Chékhina est infinie !
C'est comme quelqu'un qui allume une allumette en plein jour — ça n'a aucun sens ! Quand on allume une lumière dans l'obscurité — ça a du sens. Mais en plein jour — c'est comme si on n'avait rien fait.
C'est pourquoi, tout au long de Térouma et Tetsavé, la Torah nous parle du Michkan qui doit être ici — qui ressemble à celui de là-haut. On ne peut pas parler du Mizbéa'h HaKétoret car il n'existe pas là-haut.
Après avoir fini d'expliquer à quoi ressemble le Temple d'en bas — qui est la copie du Temple d'En-Haut — la Torah dit : encore un détail. Le Mizbéa'h HaKétoret — qui relie le Temple d'En-Haut au Temple d'en bas, et qui fait le closing, qui boucle le cercle de la Avoda.
ח. Ma'hatsit HaChékel — l'Unité est la condition
Quelle est la condition pour que le Mizbéa'h HaKétoret fonctionne ? Pour que l'avoda soit acceptée en na'hat roua'h devant Hachem ?
Quelle est la paracha juste après ? Ki Tissa — Ma'hatsit HaChékel.
« Quand tu compteras les Béné Israël... chacun donnera la rançon de son âme à Hachem »
Si nous voulons un lien entre Ciel et Terre, entre le Kadoch Baroukh Hou et le peuple d'Israël — Je vous demande l'unité !
Comment ? Chacun donne un demi-chékel. Ta moitié avec ma moitié — crée un.
C'est la condition pour que toute notre avoda, toutes nos prières, soient acceptées favorablement devant le Kadoch Baroukh Hou.
Seulement avec cette unité peut-on commencer à parler de la Kétoret Samim. Mais sans l'unité du peuple d'Israël — rien ne marchera ! Le lien entre Ciel et Terre sera très difficile.

We are on the eve of the 7th of Adar — the day Moshe Rabbeinu passed away, but it is also his birthday. Everything we learn is the Torah of Moshe Rabbeinu. Barukh Hashem, may we merit to give nachat ru'ach before HaKadosh Barukh Hu.
ב. The Missing Vessel — Where Is the Mizbe'ach HaKetoret?
The difference between Parashat Terumah and Parashat Tetzaveh:
Terumah — discusses the Mishkan, the vessels, the courtyard. The order is logical: starting with the Aron (Kodesh HaKodashim — the heart of the Mishkan), then the Menorah (we moved to the Kodesh), then the Shulchan.
Tetzaveh — discusses what's inside: olive oil, the Kohanim's garments, the preparation of the Levi'im.
But wait! In the Kodesh, there is also the Mizbe'ach HaKetoret. Yet in Parashat Terumah — it's not mentioned at all! This vessel disappeared. Where does it appear? At the end of Parashat Tetzaveh, after the garments and the preparation of the Levi'im.
We cannot say Moshe Rabbeinu skipped it and suddenly remembered. There must be something much deeper here.
ג. The Ashan = The Arafel = The Shekhina
What was the service at the Mizbe'ach HaKetoret? They would place the Ketoret on the burning coals, and smoke (ashan) would rise.
What does this smoke have that no other service in the Mishkan has?
The ashan — it represents the arafel (divine mist). And the arafel symbolizes the Shekhina.
"And Moshe came... to the arafel where God was"
Everywhere we speak of the Holy Shekhina, Hashem said He would dwell in the arafel. The ashan symbolizes the arafel, which itself symbolizes the Shekhina.
ד. The Ketoret — The Final Station
The entire construction of the Mishkan, the vessels, the garments, the Levi'im — all aim toward one final station.
Why are we doing all of this? To reach the state where we reveal the Shekhina.
What is the symbol of the Shekhina in the Mishkan? It is the Ketoret rising from the Mizbe'ach.
Therefore it appears at the end — because it is the final station toward which everything converges.
ה. What Is "Ketoret"? — The Story of Keturah
What does the word Ketoret mean in Hebrew? I asked for Sefer Bereshit specifically to explain this.
After Sarah passed away, Avraham Avinu remained alone. Sarah had expelled Hagar. What happened to Hagar? She didn't give up — she waited. She said: perhaps Sarah will die and I can return to marry Avraham.
The Torah tells us she was called Keturah.
First explanation: because she would burn incense (ma'aleh Ketoret) — this is the simple reading.
Second explanation (main one): she bound herself — refusing any man — until she could perhaps return to Avraham. Absolute modesty. She was "Keturah" — no one would come upon her until Avraham Avinu would take her back.
ו. The Ketoret Binds Heaven and Earth
The Zohar HaKadosh says: the essence of the Ketoret is that it binds Am Yisrael to our Father in Heaven.
Solid → Liquid → Gas. When a korban is offered on the Mizbe'ach and smoke rises — this is an intermediate state: on one side it's no longer matter, on the other it's not yet spirit. This intermediate state — connects Heaven and Earth.
On earth — it's matter. In heaven — it's air, gas. The Ketoret is the connector between Heaven and Earth.
Our entire mission since the world was created is to connect Heaven and Earth. When the Beit HaMikdash stands — korbanot. When it doesn't — "uNeshalema Parim Sifateinu". We are a Kingdom of Kohanim and a Holy Nation — each of us is like a Kohen — our entire purpose is to connect Heaven and Earth.
We say this every day in Kriat Shema: "veHaya im Shamo'a Tishme'u" — listen, everything will be good, the land will yield its produce, rain will fall, no drought. The way we communicate with HaKadosh Barukh Hu — through our prayers.
ז. The Heavenly Beit HaMikdash — No Need for Mizbe'ach HaKetoret
Corresponding to the lower Beit HaMikdash — there is an upper Beit HaMikdash. One mirrors the other.
The Kohen Gadol of the upper realm is Michael, the Prince of Israel, along with Eliyahu. What korbanot do they offer there?
The souls of the Tzaddikim.
They ascend as korbanot in the heavenly Beit HaMikdash. An Olah Temimah — elevating the soul to a higher level.
Which vessel exists in the lower Temple but NOT in the upper one?
The Mizbe'ach HaKetoret! It's not needed there. Why?
Because if the whole purpose of the Mizbe'ach HaKetoret is to create cloud and mist, to show where the Shekhina resides — up there, the Shekhina is infinite!
It's like someone striking a match in the middle of the day — it's meaningless! When you light a flame in darkness — it has meaning. But in broad daylight — it's as if you did nothing.
This is why, throughout Terumah and Tetzaveh, the Torah speaks to us about the Mishkan that needs to be here — which mirrors what's there. It makes no sense to discuss the Mizbe'ach HaKetoret because it doesn't exist up there.
After finishing the explanation of how the lower Temple looks — that it mirrors the upper one — the Torah says: one more detail. The Mizbe'ach HaKetoret — which connects the upper and lower Temples, and performs the closing, completing the circle of the Avodah.
ח. Machatzit HaShekel — Unity Is the Condition
What is the condition for the Mizbe'ach HaKetoret to work? For the service to be accepted as nachat ru'ach before Hashem?
What is the very next parasha? Ki Tisa — Machatzit HaShekel.
"When you count Bnei Yisrael... each shall give a ransom for his soul to Hashem"
If we want a connection between Heaven and Earth, between HaKadosh Barukh Hu and Am Yisrael — I ask you for unity!
How? Each person gives half a shekel. Your half plus my half — creates one.
This is the condition for all our service, all our prayers, to be accepted favorably before HaKadosh Barukh Hu.
Only with this unity can we begin to speak of the Ketoret Samim. Without unity among Am Yisrael — nothing works! The connection of Heaven and Earth becomes very difficult.

אנחנו בערבו של יום ז׳ באדר — יום הפטירה של משה רבינו, אבל זה גם יום הלידה של משה רבינו. כל מה שאנחנו לומדים — זו תורת משה רבינו. ברוך השם, ויהי רצון שנצליח לעשות נחת רוח לפני הקב״ה.
ב. הַכְּלִי הֶחָסֵר — אֵיפֹה מִזְבֵּחַ הַכְּתוֹרֶת?
ההבדל בין פרשת תרומה לבין פרשת תצווה:
תרומה — מדברים על המשכן, הכלים, החצר. הסדר הגיוני: מתחילים עם הארון (קודש הקודשים — הלב של המשכן), אחר כך המנורה (יצאנו לקודש), ואחר כך השולחן.
תצווה — מתחילים לדבר על מה שבפנים: שמן זית, בגדי הכהנים, הכנת הלויים.
אבל רגע! בקודש יש גם את מזבח הכתורת. ובפרשת תרומה — לא מסופר עליו בכלל! הכלי הזה נעלם. איפה הוא מופיע? בסוף פרשת תצווה, אחרי הבגדים וההכנה של הלויים.
אי אפשר להגיד שמשה רבינו דילג ונזכר פתאום. צריך להיות פה משהו הרבה יותר עמוק.
ג. הָאָשָׁן = הָעֲרָפֶל = הַשְּׁכִינָה
מה העבודה במזבח הכתורת? היו שמים את הכתורת על גבי הגחלים, והיה עולה אשן.
מה יש באשן הזה שאין בכל העבודה האחרת במשכן?
האשן — זה ביטוי לערפל. והערפל מסמל את השכינה.
כל מקום שאנחנו רוצים לדבר על השכינה הקדושה — השם אמר לשכון בערפל. האשן מסמל את הערפל, שהוא בעצם מסמל את השכינה.
ד. הַכְּתוֹרֶת — הַתַּחֲנָה הַסּוֹפִית
כל הבנייה של המשכן, הכלים, הבגדים, הלויים — כולם מכוונים לתחנה סופית אחת.
למה אנחנו עושים את כל זה? כדי להגיע למצב שאנחנו מגלים את השכינה.
מהו סמל השכינה במשכן? זה בעצם הכתורת שיוצאת ממזבח הכתורת.
ולכן היא תהיה בסוף — כי זו בעצם התחנה הסופית שהכל הולך אליה.
ה. מָה זֶה « כְּתוֹרֶת »? — הַסִּפּוּר שֶׁל קְטוּרָה
מה זה המילה כתורת בעברית? ביקשתי את חומש בראשית בכוונה כדי להסביר.
אחרי ששרה נפטרה, אברהם אבינו נשאר לבד. שרה הייתה גרשה את הגר. מה קרה עם הגר? היא לא התייאשה, היא חיכתה. היא אמרה: אולי שרה תמות ואני אוכל לחזור להתחתן עם אברהם.
והתורה מספרת שקראו לה כתורה.
פירוש ראשון: בגלל שהייתה מעלה כתורת — פשוט.
פירוש שני (עיקרי): היא קשרה את עצמה — לא להיבעל לאיש — עד שאולי תחזור לאברהם. צניעות מוחלטת. היא הייתה « כתורה » — שאף אחד לא יבוא עליה עד שאברהם אבינו יחזור אליה.
ו. הַכְּתוֹרֶת קוֹשֶׁרֶת שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ
הזוהר הקדוש אומר: מהות הכתורת — שהיא קושרת בין עם ישראל לאבינו שבשמיים.
חומר → נוזל → גז. כשמקריבים קורבן על המזבח ועולה אשן — זה מצב ביניים: מצד אחד זה לא חומר, מצד שני זה לא רוח. המצב הביניים הזה — מחבר שמיים וארץ.
בארץ — זה החומר. בשמיים — זה האוויר, הגז. הכתורת היא בעצם מחבר שמיים וארץ.
וכל תחנת העבודה שלנו מאז שנברא העולם — זה לחבר שמיים וארץ. כשיש בית מקדש — קורבנות. כשאין — ונשלמה פרים שפתינו. ואנחנו, ממלכת כהנים וגוי קדוש, כל אחד מאיתנו בגדר כהן — כל התפקיד שלנו לחבר שמיים וארץ.
אנחנו אומרים את זה כל יום בקריאת שמע: « והיה אם שמוע תשמעו » — תשמעו, הכל טוב, ונתנה הארץ יבולה, ירד גשם, לא תהיה בצורת. הדרך שאנחנו מתקשרים עם הקב״ה — דרך התפילות שלנו.
ז. בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ שֶׁל מַעְלָה — לֹא צָרִיךְ מִזְבֵּחַ כְּתוֹרֶת
כנגד בית מקדש שלמטה — יש בית מקדש של מעלה. זה לעומת זה.
הכהן הגדול של מעלה — מיכאל, שר ישראל, הוא ואליהו. איזה קורבנות מקריבים שם?
נפשות הצדיקים.
הם עולים קורבן בבית מקדש של מעלה. עולה תמימה — מעלים את הנפש דרגה יותר גבוה.
איזה כלי יש בבית מקדש התחתון ואין בבית מקדש העליון?
מזבח הכתורת! שם לא צריך אותו. למה?
כי אם כל המטרה של מזבח הכתורת זה כדי לעשות ענן וערפל, כדי להמחיש איפה נמצאת השכינה — שם יש שכינה בעין סוף!
זה כמו אחד שמדליק גפרור באמצע היום — אין לזה שום משמעות! כשאתה מדליק אור בחושך — יש לזה משמעות. אבל באמצע היום — כאילו לא עשית שום דבר.
לכן, כל הדרך בהתחלה, בפרשת תרומה ותצווה, התורה מדברת איתנו מה המשכן שצריך להיות כאן — שהוא כמו שם. לא שייך לדבר על מזבח הכתורת כי הוא לא שם (למעלה).
אחרי שגמרנו להסביר איך בית מקדש התחתון נראה — שהוא דומה לבית מקדש העליון — התורה אומרת: עוד פרט אחד. מזבח הכתורת — שהוא מחבר בין בית מקדש העליון לבית מקדש התחתון, והוא עושה את הקלוזינג, סוגר לנו את המעגל של העבודה.
ח. מַחֲצִית הַשֶּׁקֶל — אַחְדוּת הִיא הַתְּנַאי
מה התנאי שמזבח הכתורת יעבוד? שהעבודה תתקבל בנחת רוח לפני השם?
