Parameter 137
The gap between spiritual and material

The course presents 137 as the most mysterious number in quantum physics (the fine-structure constant) and as the gap between the spiritual world and the material world.

Three examples: Kabbalah (קבלה = 137), Abraham at 137 at the Akedat Yitzchak, and the letter ר (137 occurrences in the creation account).

The scientific claims are presented as the course states them.

1 What Is Parameter 137?

The course quotes, without naming the source, a sentence attributed to the greatest physicists: “This parameter hides the greatest secrets of universal creation, which once decoded can lead us to understand the origin of life itself.”

According to the course, 137 is the fine-structure constant, which appears in electromagnetism, gravity, nuclear interactions and the electron’s speed, and nobody knows where it comes from.

2 The Speed of the Electron

Speed of light: 300,000 km/s, the maximum speed in the universe. According to the course, the electron’s speed is 1/137 of that of light.

Spiritual: light (photons), zero mass, outside time, divine dimension. Material: electron (hydrogen), matter, within time, physical dimension.

137 = the exact gap between the spiritual world and the material world
3 First Example: Kabbalah

If the gap is 137, what ladder can link the two worlds? קבלה (Kabbalah) = 137.

Kabbalah, the esoteric study of the Torah, links the material world to the spiritual world, our divine source. The word קבלה means “to receive” or “tradition”: it lets us receive divine light and bridge the gap.

4 Second Example: Abraham at 137

Abraham had to pass ten trials to reach the summit of his spiritual ascent; the tenth is the Akedat Yitzchak. Isaac was 37, and Abraham 100 at his birth: 100 + 37 = 137.

According to the course: the first day of his 137th year (Rosh Hashanah), early in the morning (וישכם אברהם בבקר), at the exact moment of the spiritual summit, where the material meets the spiritual.

5 Third Example: the Letter ר

The letter ר of בראשית takes its meaning from the word רץ, “he runs.” According to the course, the electron runs around its nucleus at 1/137 of the speed of light, and ר represents this run.

According to the course, the letter ר appears 137 times in the creation account (1,815 letters), an account describing how G-d created the 92 elements.

ר = 137 times in the creation account
6 Conclusion: The Divine Signature

Physics: speed of light ÷ speed of the electron = 137, the spiritual/material gap. Kabbalah: קבלה = 137, the ladder to bridge the gap. Abraham: 100 + 37 = 137, the spiritual summit.

“How could the Sages of Israel know the speed of the electron 3,300 years ago, without a microscope or modern equipment? Because everything was already written in the Torah, the architectural plan of all universal creation. The 137 is no accident: it is the divine signature inscribed in the very structure of matter.”
