It's raining. Everyone puts out their basins.
Your neighbor fills his to the brim.
You look at yours. There's a hole.
The rain falls on everyone.
The sky doesn't choose favorites.
It doesn't skip your house.
But instead of fixing your basin,
you stand in the rain staring at your neighbor's.
Full. Overflowing.
"Why him and not me?"
Meanwhile the water hits your face
and runs through your fingers.

An old man walks by. Soaked. Smiling.
He holds a small, cracked bowl — carefully repaired.
Half-full.
He says:
"The problem was never the rain, son."
What if everything you need is already falling on you —
and the only thing missing is a basin that holds?
The basin has a hole. But who found it?

Pirkei Avot 4:1 — "Who is rich? He who is happy with his portion." Not the one whose basin is biggest — the one who repaired his cracks.
The tenth commandment — "Do not covet" — is not about desire. It's about staring at your neighbor's basin instead of repairing your own.

Il pleut. Tout le monde sort ses bassines.
Ton voisin remplit la sienne à ras bord.
Tu regardes la tienne. Elle a un trou.
La pluie tombe sur tout le monde.
Le ciel ne fait pas de favoritisme.
Il n'évite pas ta maison.
Mais au lieu de réparer ta bassine,
tu restes sous la pluie à fixer celle du voisin.
Pleine. Débordante.
« Pourquoi lui et pas moi ? »
Pendant ce temps, l'eau coule sur ton visage
et glisse entre tes doigts.

Un vieil homme passe. Trempé. Souriant.
Il tient un petit bol fêlé — soigneusement réparé.
À moitié plein.
Il dit :
« Le problème n'a jamais été la pluie, fiston. »
Et si tout ce dont tu as besoin tombait déjà sur toi —
et qu'il ne manquait qu'une bassine qui tient ?
La bassine a un trou. Mais qui l'a trouvé ?
Et avec quoi a-t-il regardé ?
