The subject, Mendel Karmi, was described in a few dry lines. Former prodigy of the Ponevezh Yeshiva. Former precision shooter with the Duvdevan unit. A man who could recite the Talmud under heavy fire.

The man in the dark suit didn't flinch. He brought the flame of a Storm lighter to the corner of the card. The paper curled instantly.
